    Casual Part-Time 0-40 Hours Weekly

    Position Objective:

    The Dining Server provides exceptional service to our Conference Center guests by engaging with the guests to make their stay enjoyable while offering food and beverage service, clearing and bussing, and performing setup, reset and cleaning tasks. The ultimate aim is to bless and minister to guests, as applicable, in the dining realm of guest service, in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.


    Key Job Accountabilities:


    • Ensure guest satisfaction and provide a memorable visit through provision of exceptional service (friendly, safe, efficient, thorough, ministry minded).
    • Consistently respectful and professional in all aspects of the position.
    • Work well with co-workers, guests, and other Mount Hermon staff; displaying a team oriented mindset and attitude.
    • Follow specific instructions from the directing supervisor, staying on task at all times.
    • Multi-task while maintaining great attention to detail in order to achieve a high level of accuracy.
    • Perform preparation, cleanup, and reset duties to prepare for meal service.
    • Perform beverage service, Redwood catering, and kitchen assistance if necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:




    General Qualifications:  

    Ability to respect the Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs. Of strong moral character and integrity.




    At least two years of High School.


    Work Experience:


    None required.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Ability to take directions and complete tasks as assigned.
    • Ability to work well with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and other Mount Hermon staff.
    • Ability to work and interact positively with a large variety of people.
    • Ability to effectively and efficiently self-manage and stay on task.

    Key Job Accountabilities

    Physical Demands:


    • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
    • Ability to walk and be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day.
    • Work primarily indoors with occasional shifts worked outside.

     Additional Requirements:


    • Able to work most major holidays with the exception of Christmas.
    • Prefer applicants with weekday and weekend availability.
    • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
    • Arrive on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
    • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
    • Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
