    Regular Part-Time 35 Hours Weekly


    Position Objective:


    To support the Accommodations Department in their goal to provide clean, tidy, well-maintained accommodations for our guests.  This includes cleaning rooms on departure and also providing a daily housekeeping service during the summer.


    Key Job Accountabilities:


    Broad Responsibilities:

    • Support the Mount Hermon ministry by providing clean, tidy, well maintained accommodations for our guests.
    • Perform daily, routine cleaning of housing units and complete the daily room service forms.
    • Report all custodial/maintenance issues.
    • Label all lost and found items and bring them to the Lost and Found desk in the housekeeping office.
    • Always be courteous and helpful when interacting with our guests.
    • Help other team’s complete rooms, so all locations will be ready by check in time.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Vacuum, clean and dust all surfaces.
    • Spot clean carpets.
    • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
    • Polish wood furniture.
    • Replace paper products.
    • Replace linens and make beds in accordance with room designation.
    • Remove dirty linens and all trash.
    • Put away supplies at end of shift.
    • Help keep office tidy.
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


    General Qualifications 


    Ability to respect the Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs. Of strong moral character and integrity.


    Work Experience:


    • Previous room cleaning experience preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    The ideal candidate will enjoy all phases of housekeeping and feel satisfaction from seeing rooms look their best.  Eye for detail, endurance to do physically demanding work, ability to kneel, squat, climb ladders and lift at least 25 pounds are essential. The ability to get along well with others, be a team player, and interact with the public is necessary.  Must adhere to company dress code and professional standards of personal grooming.


    Key Job Accountabilities

    Physical Demands:


    The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, ability to lift/carry 30 lbs.  Constant walking required.


    Additional Requirements:


    • May be requested to work overtime on occasion.
    • Weekends required during the summer season (June- Sept)
