Overview

Casual Part-Time 0-35 hours weekly

Position Objective:

 

To support the Accommodations Department in their goal to provide clean, tidy, well-maintained accommodations for our guests by maintaining the inventory of linens and cleaning supplies in storage closets for the housekeepers in a manner consistent with MH’s mission, vision, values, statement of beliefs and policies.

 

Key Job Accountabilities:

  1. Pick up soiled linens from all housing units and deliver to the laundry daily.  

  2. Sort and bundle the items to be sent to the commercial laundry weekly.
  3. Maintain all linen closets with appropriate amounts of linens and “set-up” supplies.
  4. Strip and stock all cabins with linens as needed.
  5. Keep in communication with Accommodations office with regard to issues that arise as well as cabin status.
  6. Fulfill all rollaway and crib requests for each guest group.  Conduct periodic inventory of rollaways and cribs.
  7. Assist with linen inventory from time to time.
  8. Maintain all department vacuum cleaners to ensure they are in proper working order.
  9. Deliver messages to guests during the summer as required.
  10. Keep the linen van clean inside and out.  Check the oil and fuel weekly.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned by manager.

General Qualifications:


A mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith.  Fully in accord with Mount Hermon’s (MH) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs.  Of strong moral character and integrity.

 

Work Experience:

 

  • Driving experience required

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Inventory and math skills required
  • Ability to prioritize daily duties
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Ability to be an effective team member

 

Key Job Accountabilities

Physical Demands:

 

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
  • Position requires constant walking and climbing up and down stairs.  Additional requirements include sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. required.

 

Additional Requirements/Skills:

 

  • Must be able to produce documentation of a clean DMV record.
  • This position is primarily daytime shifts, available year round on a part time basis 0-35 hours per week.  Weekends are required in the summer months.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.
  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
