    Casual Part-Time 0-30 hours weekly



    Position Objective:


    The Kitchen Helper will clean dishes, equipment and kitchen area as needed, and assist the cooks with food preparation to offer high quality food products and service to Conference Center guests in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.


     Key Job Accountabilities:


    • Set up dish machine for the day.
    • Maintain clean water flow through machine by cleaning screens as often as needed.
    • Keep dish area clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash after each meal.
    • Assist in the kitchen during lag time with food prep for next day.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:


    • Does not supervise other employees.


    General Qualifications:


    Able to respect the mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission ,vision ,values and statement of beliefs. Of strong moral character and integrity




    • High school graduation or equivalent.

    Work Experience:


    • No experience necessary.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Basic knowledge of operation a dish machine preferred.
    • Know how to properly replace/refill all cleaning chemicals.
    • Ability to establish priorities, work independently.
    • Ability to communicate in English.

    Key Job Accountabilities

    Physical Demands:


    • Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds
    • Ability to stand and move around the majority of the workday, squat. Lift and carry loads use hand and arms for repetitive motions.
    • Ability to work safely around dish machine and chemicals.

    Additional Requirements/Skills:


    • Ability to work days, evenings and weekends along with a flexible schedule schedule.
    • Must have a valid California Food Handler’s Card.
    • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision Values and commitment Statements,
    • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
