Overview

Casual Part-Time 0-40 hours weekly

 

Position Objective:
To offer a Christian-based basic care, play and learning experience for pre-school children at MHA Playschool in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, visionand values.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all participants.
  • Provide a consistent, stable, and supportive environment for children.
  • Account for all children at all times.
  • Use industry standards and approved techniques for classroom management.
  • Use industry standards for personal hygienic practices.
  • Use industry standards and schedules for cleaning facilities and toys.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

 

Qualifications

General Qualifications:

A mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. Fully in accord with Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) mission, vision, values and statement of beliefs. Committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. Of strong moral character and integrity.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • 12 ECE Core Classes completed.
  • Verification of current 15 hour CPR/First Aid, health and safety training requirement.

Work Experience:

  • Previous experiences with pre-school children required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Aptitude for and interest in working with children.
  • Strong sense of safe practices when working with children.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate conflict resolution with children.
  • Enthusiasm for working with a team.
  • Ability to care for basic hygienic needs of children.
  • Ability to provide cleaning for facilities.

 

Key Job Accountabilities


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs, bend over, sit on floor and get up easily, walk and run. 


Additional Requirements/Skills:

  • Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
  • Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in Mount Hermon’s Mission, Vision, Values and Commitment statements.

g. LIC 9163 Live Scan Fingerprint Clearance Information ($100)
